We live in an eccentric, private waterfront community at the bottom of a 200 ft. hill on the beautiful waters of Puget Sound. This is an aerial view from Google Maps (we're 4th house from the top).
An aerial shot taken for some geological survey (not that you can tell, but we're 4th from the left)
The drive down to our community parking lot.
Totem pole on the trail down to the beach (the trail goes toward South Beach; the stairs go to North Beach, where we live)
View from the hill (to the left)
View from the hill (to the right)
Close-up of Gig Harbor with the Cascades in the background.

Some of the houses from the hill (You can see a little bit of the big slide we had in 2001 due to earthquake that wiped out a couple houses--yes, you have to be a little bit crazy to live down here.)

Stairs down to the boardwalk (221 of them!)
View from the water.
Our house.
Tide out on the beach.
The boardwalk. That's the view from our front door with one of our kayaks. That's the kayak my boyfriend paddled all the way to Alaska in from our house (750 miles!)
Me kayaking.
The beach's own Little Mermaid (we have lots of artists here)
