virtual assistance : |
Meet the Owner and Sr. Virtual Assistant I'm the daughter of an architect (my dad) and an art historian/anthropology major (my mom). I grew up in an eclectic world of art and academics with all kinds of interesting, eccentric friends and relatives. I have a 22 year old daughter I'm very proud of who lives on her own, and a wonderful boyfriend of eight years. We live on the beautiful waters of Puget Sound. ValuesI believe in being self-sufficient, living an intentional life, and making time to savor the simple pleasures and experiences it has to offer. I believe in honoring clients with a superior level of skills, services and commitment to excellence. My business is a labor of love, and doing work I enjoy allows me to give with a full heart, get more joy out of life and deliver the highest level of value and quality to my clients that I can. At the same time, while work should be a great source of pleasure and
pride, I don't believe it should require us to compromise priorities
or sacrifice what is most important in life. My goal is that by easing
the administrative burdens of my clients, not only will they be better
equipped to build successful businesses, but they'll have more time
for a great life. Who I Work With BestMy clients are decisive, action-oriented and know what they want. They are focused, have excellent business sense and appreciate innovation and forward-thinking. They recognize that they can't — and shouldn't — do everything themselves, and are ready to let go of work that drains their energy or is not a smart business use of their time. They value quality and allow me to work to the high standards of excellence I set. They are direct and able to communicate clearly, work cooperatively, and delegate without micromanagement. They welcome my input and acknowledge my contributions. Professional BackgroundI'm an accomplished administrative professional with a career spanning nearly 25 years. I've led an interesting, well-rounded professional life, having worked in both the private and public sectors in a variety of office models including non-profit organizations, government and law enforcement agencies, labor unions, legal departments and educational institutions, and am very familiar with both corporate and small business life. My positions have included executive/administrative assistant, office manager, grantwriter, private investigator, legal secretary and paralegal. Why I Went Into BusinessAs an employee, I was always a high-performer and well-liked and valued team member. However, my abilities weren't always fully utilized, and plodding corporate bureaucracy bridled much of my innovative spirit and problem-solving skills. I often felt unchallenged, which became the source of burnout and frustration for me. I really wanted to stretch my wings, exercise my abilities to their full potential, and let my creativity flow with abandon. So I took stock of my life and what I had to offer. What I realized was that I had a uniquely diverse set of administrative skills, business savvy, professional experience and creative talent that would be of tremendous value to other business owners. That's when I decided to take my "show on the road," as they say, and life has never been more fulfilling. Professional TraitsI am a born organizer, and that's how I approach every effort. No matter what the project or task, each process is a work of art to me, and deserves the same attention to detail and high standard of excellence. Clients praise my professionalism, people skills, exceptional organizational ability, writing talent and big-picture thinking, not to mention my administrative expertise. One esteemed client honored me with this summation: "Give Danielle an assignment and she intuitively puts together an overview, integrates the work processes and develops an efficient, streamlined approach to tackling any job. She has a knack for looking at the whole picture and making sure everything fits in the long-term." What it means to be a collaborative partner in your businessI truly love my work and helping my clients reach their goals. Being a partner to them, and doing high-quality work that best supports them in their business is the only way I wish to work. It's very gratifying when clients tell me my insight and efforts have helped them improve their operations and be more productive. When it all comes down to it, being able to contribute something of value by doing what I love (and what I'm darn good at!), and being appreciated for being of service is what it's all about for me. Watching my clients become more successful and knowing I've been instrumental to that growth is one of the greatest feelings in the world! One of the highest compliments I ever received came from a newer client who related what one of my long-term clients had to say about me: "Danielle has been a God-send to me! I wouldn't have a business if it weren't for her help." Living up to that level of service, value and commitment is exactly what I'm in business for.
